Probe, 1992

Moist terra-cotta in plastic enclosure, press molded shovels, plywood adirondack chairs, mirrored window glass with topographic map symbols etched in the silver coating.

The etched map symbols performed as a lens, creating a camera obscura that in the late afternoon sun, projected images of the exterior urban landscape upon the rear surface of the plastic scrim.
